Blinds are a very powerful backdrop for many photographs, as we have already covered twice (in articles about striped curves and about cats). And, of course, the matter is not limited to photographs alone. Literally in the very first films made by mankind, we can see various blinds, shutters and awnings in the frames.
In 1895-97, to popularize a new type of art - cinematograph or "animated photography" - the Lumiere brothers sent cameramen to all parts of the world to shoot on location.
Hundreds of one-minute videos were filmed. In some of them we see what our site is dedicated to.
